Astral Star Code of Conduct

By participating, you agree to follow these rules to keep our community respectful, fair, and fun for everyone.

Precursor

You are not the only one who can see conversations in public chats. Staff may ask to move a conversation to DMs for this reason.

If you feel uncomfortable or targeted in any way by a player or group of players, reach out to a member of staff by DM, or raise a Report a Player ticket in Discord. Both avenues are strictly confidential.

For the most part we run a one-warning system: you receive one warning, and on the next violation you will be kicked, muted or banned depending on severity. Leadership retain the right to remove any member without warning at any point; such cases are voted on by leadership to avoid unfair dismissals. This list is not exhaustive, staff decisions are made at staff discretion where not explicitly listed, and all decisions are case by case. Historic actions don't set precedent.

1. Social etiquette & behaviour

The following is not tolerated and may result in an immediate ban, without warning, depending on severity:

• Hate speech or extremist rhetoric directed at any individual or group
• Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse
• Elitist behaviour that targets, belittles, or excludes

Disguising hate speech as a joke, meme, or "dark humour" does not make it acceptable.

1.1 Voice channels

When joining an active bossing or raiding voice channel:

• Do not disrupt the group
• Avoid being a distraction to focused high-level content
• Mute yourself if you're not participating

1.2 Prohibited content (18+)

Mature banter is allowed, but the following is strictly prohibited:

• Gore
• Illegal material
• Pornography or explicit NSFW content

1.3 Dispute resolution

• Staff are not mediators for minor personal issues
• Use the in-game Ignore function for small irritations
• For serious rule breaks, send screenshot or video evidence to staff via DM or a Report a Player ticket. No proof, no action.

1.4 Politics

This is an extremely diverse space, with members from around the world and from different cultures and backgrounds. Given the current political climate, we strongly discourage any political conversation in public channels. If you must discuss politics, do it via DM.

2. Account & gameplay integrity

All members must follow the official Jagex Terms of Service. Any account banned (manual or automatic) for botting or real-world trading (RWT) will have its clan rank removed and be dismissed from the community.

2.1 Scamming & luring

Any member found scamming or luring a clanmate will be permanently banned from Astral Star and reported to RuneWatch. We have zero tolerance for theft, and clan access is revoked immediately.

2.2 Loot & splits

• All drops default to splits unless otherwise agreed
• Alternative splits (keep split, FFA, etc.) must be explicitly stated and agreed by all party members before the trip starts

Take timestamped screenshots of any agreements, and always consider ironmen and their ability to split via main accounts.
